How to install a PowerGUI Script Editor via RDP connection

I've needed to install a PowerGUI Script Editor - a great IDE to write and debug the Powershell (tm) scripts. But an installer has one limitation - if it found that you are trying to install the Editor using RDP connection - it exit immidiately. But I've found a workaround (thanks to PowerGUI forum - link in header) - use a msiexec.exe switches:

msiexec /quiet /i C:\temp\PowerGUI.1.7.0.686.msi ADDLOCAL=PowerShellEditor

How to add JAVA_HOME variable in SUSE 10.2/SUN Java

I needed to install a latest Java build, that is not included in SUSE software DVD. So, I've downloaded a Java RPM from Sun's site, have installed it, but the $JAVA_HOME variable was still undefined. The problem was in /etc/profile.d/alljava.sh file. This script could work only with SUSE-bundled Java, because it do test if predefined paths exists.

So I've created a script named sunjava.sh and put it into the /etc/profile.d/ folder. You can see the script contetnt below:

export JAVA_ROOT=/usr/java
export JAVA_HOME=$JAVA_ROOT/default
export JAVA_BINDIR=$JAVA_HOME/bin

What is the difference between a Distribution group and Security Group (and explanation of Local/Global/Universal Scopes)

tigermatt:
What you have noticed about both security and distribution groups having the "Domain Local", "Global" and "Universal" permissions is actually known as the Scope of a group.

A domain local is probably, in my opinion, one of the worst to use unless you have a specific reason to use it. This type of group can contain members from any other domain within the same forest, including users, computers, universal groups, global groups and other domain local groups *within the same domain*. However, the domain local group can only be used to secure access to resources or objects (printers, files, databases etc.) in the same domain as it is created. It cannot be used across the forest.

A global group is a group which can roam between other trusting domains and can be used in these domains to secure access to resources too. However a global group can only contain members from the domain it was created in.

A universal group is one which can contain members from anywhere in the forest and can be used anywhere in the forest. It isn't restricted to only containing members or only being used in one individual domain.

Outlook 2007 new appointment date always reverts back to today's

Q: When I select a date in the future and make an appointment on that date by clicking on a time for the appointment, the appointment disappears from the future date and appears on the current date. Any ideas?

A: Reset the view and clear the forms cache. http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/resetview.htm clear forms cache:On the Tools menu, click Options. Click the Other tab, and then clickAdvanced Options, Custom Forms, Manage Forms.Click Clear Cache. Ok your way out of the dialogs and restart Outlook 2003.

A: Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it and I still had the same problem;however, I looked at the page you referenced in your email and it suggested Ireset all the defaults with StartRunoutlook.exe /cleanviews and that workedfine!
