Got it today (Friday 13, huh!) after scheduled patches installation and restart.
Solution - connect to the box via remote registry and create the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
IgnoreRegUserConfigErrors = Dword:1
